Pianist Erica Ohm earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Michigan State University after completing her Master's and Professional Studies in Music at the Manhattan School of Music. The first prize winner in competitions including Dong-A Music Concours (the most prestigious in Korea) and International Institute of Music Competition, Erica Ohm is an exciting pianist who is equally at home in the music of J. S. Bach and George Crumb. She is also committed to performing music of her contemporaries. Since her acclaimed first recital in Seoul in 1993 she has performed as a soloist as well as an ensemble player throughout Korea, Japan, China, and the United States. The concert series of the complete Beethoven Violin Sonatas, with violinist Kyung Min Kim, and the complete Beethoven Piano Trios, with BINTRIO (cellist Hee Jin Paik, violinist Kyung Min Kim) have been featured on Korean radio and TV. Erica Ohm was chosen among "the best and the most active pianists in Korea" by Pianoforte (1997) and "the pianist of the month" by Piano International, Korea (June 2003.)
Currently a Professor of Piano at Sejong University in Korea, Erica Ohm has served on the faculty at Michigan State University School of Music, Seoul National University and Seoul High School of Music and Art.
