The trio of oboe, horn and piano is one of the most unique and complimentary of mixtures. These instruments, supported by the piano’s versatility and range, create an almost orchestral depth, full of color and texture. The three works recorded for this CD offer a variety of stylistic approaches for this ensemble, exploiting and capitalizing on each instrument’s strength.  Jared Hauser, Leslie Norton and Melissa Rose are on the faculty of Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
