I'm proud to announce a new CD from one of the most celebrated American composers, Ricky Ian Gordon, entitled "Bric-A-Brac. Ricky Ian Gordon Sings Ricky Ian Gordon."

This CD is a collection of 19 songs performed by the composer himself. Set to the words of such poets as Dorothy Parker, Edna St. Vincent Millay, May Swenson, Marie Howe and Langston Hughes, in addition to Gordon’s own poetry, these songs reflect a more intimate side of the famed composer whose prolific catalog features such large stage works as the opera “The Grapes of Wrath,” which was proclaimed “the great American Opera” by Musical America, and the musical “Sycamore Trees,” which was listed as one of ten best productions of 2010 by the Washington Post.

I made this film inspired by Dorothy Parker's wonderful poem, Ricky's gorgeous music, his performance, and by the incredible winter landscapes of the Midwest, and I strongly feel that this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever done!
