Mary Alice Stollak and MSU Children's Choir (October 8, 2007)Posted by sergei in Untagged |

I had a meeting with Mary Alice Stollak to present the first draft of the master for the new MSU Children’s Choir CD that I'm producing. Last spring I recorded their concert at First Presbyterian Church in Lansing (part of our Fine Arts Series) and in addition to that we had a few recording sessions. I thought that master turned out beautifully, but well… that ‘s me… I’m kind of partial!
In Ms. Stollak’s music room right in between the speakers there is a nice piano that has TWO GRAMMYS on it. (I have to admit, when she walked out of the room I lifted one… it is nicely heavy and substantial… I didn’t do the acceptance speech though J… maybe next year!). It was a little intimidating to play my work for her right there, but not too much!
I was happy that Mary Alice liked what I did with the sound and was very pleased with the way the master is turning out. The CD should be out shortly, just in time for Christmas!!
