Become fascinated by the compositional genius of Claude Bolling and his ability to blend classical and jazz styles in a fresh and exciting way as Edward Mallet, Alvin Waddles, Marion Hayden and David Taylor play tribute to this ground-breaking composer! In the spirit of the original recording of Toot Suite, Mallet employs the use of different instruments – English baritone horn for those edgier sounds and the “piccolo tuba” for those moments where a lighter touch is needed. The addition of bass and drum solos and some Latin grooves highlight the creativity and skills of the Alvin Waddles Trio.
