New album from acclaimed pianist William Hobbs presents works by Greek-Canadian composer Christos Hatzis and the enigmatic Indian-English composer Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji. The two composers share a fluidity of melodic and rhythmic treatment in their music that is rooted in the Western classical tradition but refracted through a lens of Eastern thought. The results are vastly different but equally compelling. They also share a penchant for exploring their spiritual selves in their compositions, which is amply represented in the music on this recording.

"Comparisons aside, Nocturne “Djâmi” is never less than engrossing in Hobbs's deeply engaged rendering."
"All four works, despite extreme differences in style and presentation, are riveting and realized marvelously by Hobbs in his deeply committed performances."
"One imagines Hatzis must be absolutely delighted by treatments that seem definitive, and one similarly imagines that if Sorabji were still with us he would be as thrilled by the pianist's Nocturne “Djâmi” rendition."
